Piquette is a natural pétillant (spritzy) wine produced by fermenting rehydrated, pressed grape skins. Fresh pressed grapes are still packed with sugar and the spontaneous fermentation results in a lower abv wine with skin contact flavors. It's light and refreshing like a dry cider with fruity grape flavors. Made from Chardonnay and Vidal Blanc grape skins from Greenvale Vineyards in Portsmouth, RI.
